By using grease traps or grease collection containers in the kitchen, homeowners can intercept grease before it enters the septic system, reducing the strain on the tank.

    2. Regular Pumping:

    Regular septic tank pumping is crucial to maintain optimal performance. By scheduling routine maintenance every three to five years, grease accumulation can be minimized, ensuring the septic tank continues to function efficiently. A professional septic service provider will inspect and pump the tank, removing any excess solids, including grease.

    While septic tanks are capable of handling a variety of household wastewater, it is clear that excessive grease can pose significant challenges to their functionality.
