    Limitations of Using PEX as a Conduit

    2. UV Resistance: PEX is not inherently UV resistant, which means it is susceptible to degradation when exposed to direct sunlight. This limitation makes it unsuitable for outdoor applications where the conduit is exposed to the elements.
    3. High Temperature Limitations: While PEX is known for its ability to withstand high temperatures, it does have temperature limits. PEX pipes are generally rated for use up to 200°F (93°C), which may not be suitable for applications that involve extreme high temperatures.
    4. Limited Conduit Types: PEX pipes are primarily used as flexible conduit options. This restricts their use in certain scenarios where more rigid or specialized conduits are required, such as in industrial or heavy-duty applications.

    While PEX pipes excel as a plumbing material, their suitability as a conduit for other purposes may be limited by certain factors. However, factors such as limited size range, lack of UV resistance, high temperature limitations, and limited conduit types may restrict its use in certain applications.
