These coatings form a barrier between the foam board and the sun, reducing the impact of UV radiation and prolonging the board’s lifespan.
    3. Use UV-Blocking Sheets or Films: For applications where the foam board will be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, using UV-blocking sheets or films is recommended. These protective coverings can be applied directly onto the foam board, effectively shielding it from harmful UV rays. They serve as an additional layer of defense, significantly reducing the chances of degradation.
    4. Provide Shelter or Shade: Whenever possible, it is advantageous to position foam board projects in shaded or sheltered areas. By minimizing direct exposure to sunlight, the effects of UV radiation can be mitigated, allowing the foam board to remain in better condition for longer periods.
